On August 7th, 2011, Mike Girard put on his 2nd Annual Central Mass DH and Freeride. A lot of kids were worried about the rain, but Mike stomped Mother Nature right where it hurts and said NO WAY, keeping it scheduled right on track. End result: a rad day of rain skating on a closed course. It dried up over the course of the day, which made the road faster and faster on each subsequent run, and even left the road dry for the freeride portion at the end of the day. It was radical, and if you're in the area and missed it, you were definitely blowing it. Hell yeah.

Thanks to all involved, and a big pat on the back to all the skaters I had the luck of meeting and sharing heats with. You guys all kill it, can't wait to skate with all of you soon.

  • where is this exactly??

  • @ChefYahn1 Can't say. That spot's in danger of getting blown up as it is, and we need to make sure the locals like us as much as possible in order for them to let us come have a fun event there every year.

  • That was a great event!

  • @NYCSK8ERS Hell yeah bro, tons of fun for sure. Still can't decide if I'm happy or sad that it was dry for the freeride.
