@SCZTY10 If I was you, I'd get a manual. I got a '94 YJ with a manual and it amazes me how easy it is to tackle terrain that'd I'd second guess with an automatic. Ever since I stated driving a manual, I've kind of frowned upon wranglers with an automatic. I think it's part of the wrangler experience to have a manual.
Ive own 2 rubicons stock. Was thinking about a 4 inch lift and stock tires would that be able to handle stuff like this? Also do they come with sliders or do I need to add that? Any other upgrades I need to go out crawling like this so that I dont break something?
I have an '85 Grand Wagoneer with 4" lift, rear locker, and 31" tires that is almost ready to hit that trail... Now if I can get my buddy with his '86 Bronco.
@Antithropocentric I leave no trace, most people that offroad (I know) pack out their garbage. Most Jeepers care about the environment (otherwise we would be left with only pavement). This is our hobby, and apparently posting inflammatory comments in places that you know will provoke a irritated response is your's. As for your theory about having something to prove, I hike a 50 miler annually (last summer I did a considerable chunk of the Appilacian trail). OIIIIIIIO
@Antithropocentric i would love to see you hike 300 miles in a day... and you must eat too? there is good and bad in all outdoor groups weather you're driving or on foot. some place you just can't hike to my friend.
Thanks for posting!
Hopefully I can conquer "the Rubicon" someday.
