i seriously thought that was crass playing when i first heard this, particularly because of the similarity of theirs' and the subhumans' bass sound. but then again, why would crass be in a skate video?
i have issue 3 of POW, love it, would really love to find issue 1 and 2 one day.

blink 182 has cited GISM and Gauze as inspiration. haha guess what? punk really is dead and if your not like saveki and light people up with hair spray and matches cus you don't like the way their looking at you. YOUR NOT PUNK. your a fuckin middle aged loser telling kids what punk is. i say PUNK IS DEAD. Hippie is Dead.
It's good to see other people that dig a lot of the old scenes like 70s & 80s punk, and the old LA death rock scene. Not a lot of people listen to 45 Grave or Christian Death these days.
i fuckin hear ya. i listen to melt banana crass gauze dri grave 45 circle jerks and what not and all the time i overhear stupid kids with colored hair and spikes and the whole stupid 9 yards talking about "punk" this and that, greenday fuckin oh my god it drives me crazy. its bullshit.... kids are fucking stupid. most of them at least. maybe stupid is a bit harsh lets just say ignorant.
Best take another listen. At first I thought it was a little faster but after a couple of listens to EP-LP at the same time of the video I found out it wasn't.
Cause the idiotic kids these days think punk rock is green day and offspring. I'll be listening like Kaaos or Crass or some shit and these kids will come up and tell me what garbage and that isn't punk rock. It's a joke these days with what mainstream kids think is punk.
indeed, also when it was performance of war it showed some of sakevis distrubing art and had interviews with people like mental patients. Also it was a very thick magazine and showed lots of hardcore punk and noise bands at the time. You know, sakevi was really a clever guy. he graduated from university.
Yeah, originally it was called Punk On Wave and then it changed to Performance Of War. Apparently Punk On Wave was a really low key magazine with skater stuff inside it and pretty much just like a normal skate mag, but when it changed to Performance Of War, it ended up being really violent and taught you how to make bombs and shit. Crazy stuff in the world of Sakevi/GISM.
Just for the people who don't know, Japanese band GISM's lead singer had a magazine called POW (Punk On Wave) back in the 80's. It was mainly a skater punk magazine that later became Performance Of War, still taking on the acronym POW. The later verisons of POW taught people how to kill, make weapons, etc. This was the commercial fot the earlier version of the magazine that was aired on TV in Japan.

If I remember it right, I think at one point Charmy of Laughin' Nose was involved with POW, no? I used to have copy of it edited by him or something.
