Video of me tracking drums for "Vallley of the Blades" off of my band's 2nd full-length, The Ghorusalem Codex, Volume 2: Of Magick & Tyranny.

This one is technically easy to play for me, but I like a lot of the grooves in it. For this recording, I used the following equipment:

13" Sabian AAX Studio Hats
17" & 18" Sabian AAX Studio Crashes
20" Sabian Rock Pro Ride (I've had this cymbal for over 10+ years. Cuts through everything!)
12" Wuhan China

DW 9000 Double Pedal
6.5x14" Pork Pie Black Beauty Snare
Pacific F-Series Birch kit with a 22" Kick, 10" Rack Tom, and 14" Floor Tom.

Despite what some people think, the kick drum is NOT triggered. We used two mics on it. One on the inside and one on the outside.

The quick answer to your other question/comment is: Yes, it is true... I didn't record the drums wearing the medieval helmet.
