Launching rockets. Estes Quark, Mini Meanie, SAM X two-stage and the 6-foot Mean Machine. The Mini Meanie lost its launch lug in transport, but we launched it anyways (and lost it for our trouble). The tiny Quark was great! Fast and high, and came down like a lawn-dart into the ground. The SAM X two-stage was never a great flyer and tended to boost the second stage at odd angles when it fired. This was the second time we lost it, and this time I think for good. The Mean Machine was great on D12-3's. I'm going to get some Estes E's and maybe some composites but not until we find a bigger field!
I'm 11 and this is good.

Hey, some great launches! The little A3-4T motors can really push a rocket up :) I've flown the Quark with my kids - both came in nose first - no tumble recovery, one completely destroyed when it landed on the pavement. The Mean Machine rocks!! Oh, and I've launched one 2-stager and I lost the top, too! All I have left is the booster :P

Thanks. I'm thinking of trying a more powerful engine in the Mean Machine this weekend.. we'll see how that goes.
