  • Seeing as Darius Rucker went to USC in Columbia,SC my family and I went to Marice Bessinger's Piggy Park BBQ and lo and behold darius was in there with three other guys one being a member of Hootie and the Blowfish eating. I spoke to them when I walked by to get a sweet tea refill but not on an omg it's Darius and another Blowfish but just a simple hey how you guys doin' today. When Darius left he got in a red Dodge Dakota pickup.

  • Cool. When was this? They're pretty down to Earth guys. I'm still wondering what's going on between Soni the drummer and Mark Bryan the lead guitarist.

  • we want hootie and the blowfish back...

  • Amen brother!

  • @wahyeh

Yea Darius is such an awsome down to earth guy. he and the Hootie band spent many weeks here in bermuda, living and all along with the locals, he is an amazing person, wish he would come back and jam with us like he did before..

  • i dont understand a word he says... but his voice is amasing!!!

  • i grew up listening to hootie, now he lives in nashville ,thats where im from

  • D.Rucker has always impressed me. Now that he's gone country is soooo cool. He really shows diversity and balls. Most African American men stick within a genre. I think I'm in love, I'm leaving Eva Longoria

  • kick ass D!

  • Never forget the first time I heard of the group. I was dead asleep on my couch long after the news had gone off and it was either Letterman or Leno, I can't recall. But by the time they got to the chorus I woke up - but only because the song was hooky. And I saw this brother swinging this acoustic guitar in front of these other cats and singing his ass off. who thehell are these guys I kept wondering until the song was over. I know hit record when I hear one and it was!
