My wife just had this done yesterday. They sedated her pretty heavily, i'm assuming because of the small vein phlebectomies she had as well? This patient seems to be enjoying the trip. :)

Tell me, the ablation of the vein mean the destruction of it? In the video what kind of vein was being treated in the patient's leg? Was it a deep vein? If so, wouldn't that be something that was important and needed by the leg? What would be the decrease in ther circulation of the leg as the result?
What if this patient wanted to train to be a serious runner or something? How will performance be efffected?
