Working in a call center

I can relate...you almost have to have no family and no health issues to work in a call center. They are only concerned with the "needs of the business"! The verbal abuse from the customer is horrible. All management can say is "don't take it personal"! The last straw for me was having panic attacks and stress headaches.

Where did you get this song? Good lyrics... Did you sing this?

aw, come on, at first you're excited to work in a call center, at the end of the first month... I WANNA RESIGN!!!

Its not the customers so much its the management who have no compassion or respect for there employees. For example in mine people have been fired for having serious illnesses such as cancer due to absences with chemo and what not. Needs of the business is constantly shouted at us and considering our manager can't even do the basis of our job its a joke. Leaving shortly so finally light at the end of the tunnel!

I work in an inbound call center for the last ten and a half years. While everyone around me is quiting i'm still here and consider myself a survivor. Thats about all I want to say about the job. I AM A SURVIVOR!!

@Kg277 I've been doing it for 3 months now and it beats teaching.

I currently work at a call centre for several catalogues and I can say it sucks. Its just abuse, constant calls without any gaps throughout the day. Its really depressing and bleak - considering I am a graduate and stuck in a call centre due to the current job climate. I get abuse from the customer and then shouted at by manage FML. lol.

come on people! is not that bad.. sometimes!! haha!
Call center jobs are among the most mentally abusive job positions one can hold. Not only because of the mechanized pressures applied by management, but because of the scheduling and they don't let you think about your family, you have to think about the fcucking customer.

@stonehenge55
I know exactly how you feel...I"ve been working in a call center for over a year now and I have regular panic attacks and I hate people more than ever. Nobody should have to deal with the abuse we take every day. Ugh.
