The balloon went to an altitude of more than 100,000 ft.
(to compare: a big airliner has an flying altitude of 35,000 ft.)

It traveled approximately 80 miles before the balloon burst and the payload fell to Earth by parachute.

The GoPro HD survived ambient air pressures as low as 1/100th of an atmosphere, temperatures as low as --60°C.

All you need is a Camera, Weather Balloon and Duct Tape ;)

Mal noch ne Frage. Ich habe gesehen, dass Ihr ein normales GPS Empfängergerät benutzt habt, hat das Problemlos mit dem Incutex Sender funktioniert und ist die Installation umständlich?

Wir haben einen Itakka TK 102 verwendet. Der GPS-Tracker versendet die Koordinaten per SMS. Diese Daten haben wir dann in ein GPS Gerät eingegeben. Das geht auch mit jedem Smartphone oder Navi, es ist also keine Installation erforderlich.

Hab ne Frage. Wie habt ihr den Fallschirm angebracht, sodass er nicht vom Wetterballon behindert wird, oder hattet ihr eine spezielle Abtrennvorrichtung dazu?
