  • How Did You Record This?? o.o

  • I used gtkrecordMyDesktop. It is a common linux (Gnome) application. It was saved to ogg format. Later I exported it as a png sequence using mplayer and imported it into synfig again :) where I did the video edition (add text, zoom, blur, etc)

  • I like the way synfig does blines a lot more than the way gimp does them. this app looks promising.

  • So how do you GET Synfig? When I tried to download it, they told me I had to log in to get it - but then there didn't seem to be any means on the website to sign up with.

  • I have a music channel i record videos, songs etc. and i was wondering if someone could make me a opening animation.

  • u no if u r a expert at paint.net ur an expert at this

  • I tried the bline thing, but the color doesn't show, it stays as the checkered print as if I never picked another color. why don't the colors work for me?

  • Is there different kind of synfig because the one that I have sucks

  • Each program has its own pros and cons. Synfig cannot export to swf for the moment. I think it'd never do. The reason for that is that Synfig is a vector program that combines also raster transformation (spherize, noise distort...) which never could be (AFAIK) exported to flash. Also Synfig flash has action scripts and synfig can convert any parameter to a math formulation. They are different things and give different functionality.

But there is a big difference: Synfig is free and opensource.

  • do you think synfig is better than flash

  • I used to use flash MX when I was on windows, just getting started with synfig, it seems to have loads of potential.

I've been following ur tutorials, my question is, how do you export from synfig into a format you can upload to youtube? I've managed to render as animated gif, what do you use?
