Lol if that was to happen today, the internet would be a buzz with conspiracy of Roger Penske having someone purposely throw a can on the track to bring out the yellow after one of his cars let his other car get back on the lead lap.

Yep, a yellow flag for a beer can. The type of wheels that Indy cars have would put one of the cars into a wall if it clipped it or ran over it. That's the danger of wide smooth wheels. On the outside it sounds odd, but logically it makes a whole lot of sense.
