Yep, a yellow flag for a beer can. The type of wheels that Indy cars have would put one of the cars into a wall if it clipped it or ran over it. That's the danger of wide smooth wheels. On the outside it sounds odd, but logically it makes a whole lot of sense.
At 8:58....in the days prior to the "wave around rule"...Crawford was the leader, but was the 8th or 9th car in line. Antiquated USAC rules.
