@jayray101 what i meant was, what if they accidently do the programing wrong? you know how stupid people can be, if they program it to be really specific then it will do that and only that, what if someone programed it wrong? there are some pretty stupid people who will do anything to get what they want because of greed and those other things i didnt meant anything about technological apocalypse or anything like that

i'm sure they would be able to forsee that if they do create it.

@phoenixsong38 Machines aren't like humans. Machines don't adapt to situations the way we do meaning they're only as smart as we let them be. When you say we must be 'extremely careful', I'm assuming you believe some sort of technological apocalypse. This is not possible. When a computer malfunctions it never becomes better, or self-sufficient. It crashes and dies. So all in all, we have little to fear when it comes robots taking over the Earth.

calculators are computers and I bet you they add faster then your brain does, it just doesn't think for itself, plus outside math it has no purpose and poses no danger. Also everytime a human being doesn't know something, they run to google a giant compilation of facts stored by a computers brain if you will, I could even say books are smarter then people to a certain degree, I dont know anyone who knows every single word, and it's meanings, other then a dictionary or google *computers* lol
