This is part 1 of 2 of a set of videos on escaping from bad positions. The main focus of these techniques is to show how you can escape from mount or back mount without having to exert a lot of energy.

  • Thanks for the comments. I was holding off on replying, in part due to the length my response would be if I were to answer here. I would say that this escape is only one of many options for escaping. I'll be putting together another video this week that should address your questions. Thanks again

  • @billysue2

I get what you are saying and you are right and I have.

But if not to ask questions then what is the comments section for?

Yeah yeah "comments" I know. I just love talking jiu jitsu.

I don't really use youtube to learn BJJ anymore I go to class for that. But I guess 7 months ago I didn't under stand the importance.

  • @viewer1a ask your coach, not someone on the net

  • Wot if he hooks his legs underneath your butt?

  • I really like this video.

In addition to the escape you really emphasized how you need to move around your opponent and not try to move them.

Also there is a lot of great body mechanics at work here that can be used through out your grappling game.

You showed 1 technique but many different skills.

    Thanks for posting.

  • I'm interested in how you frame up when you opponent is laying on top of you surfing you.

How do you get your arm across to frame up.

And once you have done that and escaped one side how do you get your arms up to frame off the shoulder. My hands are getting caught down below where I have framed up.
