Korean Food - ALIVE Octapus!!!

While in Korea I witnesed many strange and unusual food dishes that the family i was staying with ate! This is by far one of the top weird ones on the list! They cut it up while still alive, and eat it while the tentacles are still moving! I was tottaly grosed out! But hey.... at least u know its fresh!!!

and i hate all the disgusting food, i'm sure that only 1%of our population eat this and dog meat. it is only for minority.

@proudtobeslavic Hi, can you please explain what is wrong with eating live squid/octopus? Just because eating something raw is a taboo in Western society, it does not justify the 'moral failure' of our nation. I am assuming you were born or lived in the West for a long time... You fail to acknowledge our country's traditions and culture, to be frank, most people enjoy eating Sannakji (live squid), so go take your opinions and shove it in your twinkie throat :)

@stingauer You are so right. In America, we domesticate dogs and cats, so they are our pets. In other places around the world, they have different ideas of what pets are. In America, we raise cattle, slaughter them, and eat them. If I remember correctly, in India, they don't eat cows, they worship them.

In all seriousness, dog is just another meat. In America, dogs have become explicitly pet animals/companion animals. Granted, I think that making it unlawful to eat them is idiotic, considering this is "the land of the free", but that's besides the point.

In Asian countries, it is perfectly acceptable. So if I am ever in Asia, I will probably try it if I get the opportunity.
