here is a video to help guide you through the process of the GSOD Vbios update.

note* this is different from a normal motherboard Bios update. this is a Video Bios update which requires a unique process of flashing the video bios.

This is a fix for any G73Jh having GSOD issues when using updated ATI Drivers.

  • Message around for another 45 minutes... Still can't get it to boot from usb... My boot Menu doesn't come up.. I just get the bios section...

  • Okay.. I'm having a problem..can't get it to boot from the flash card... I changed it to option 1 in bios... save and exit.. windows starts every time... Help ? I'm positive I followed the directions all perfectly.. But my screen doesn't come up with the same boot menu like "Mr Emotion"'s does.

  • Thanks Asus, it worked i have no GSODs now.

  • i did everything as you said. Except i created a folder called 'boot' on my usb and put those files in there. I boot up my computer using the USB, but I'm not sure if I got the path right. It doesn't go onto the black screen where I can type 'vflash'. Please help!

  • @dgo401 This is the best LAPTOP you can buy for the price in the whole WORLD. This fixes ALL and ANY errors, at least for me it did. This is super super simple, if you just follow the steps and get the Software they recommend you will have no problem. Then you will be able to use the new standard AMD drivers.

  • @TheCaciqueLempira this laptop now costs around 600dlls so... do you recommend it i mean... THIS actually fixes those screen errors and stuff right?

  • Question I did this and now my gpu MHz go from 405 to 700 often I'm assuming 405 is idle of low use with 500 being mid and 700 being under load however sometimes it will jump from 405 to 700 and right back to 405 again and other times it will sit at 500 MHz while under over 80% load is this constant fluctuating going to hurt my gpu or is are the new values editable in anyway so that I can set it back to 300 , 500 , and 700

  • This fixed all the problems I have been having with the GSOD, simple to do, JUST FOLLOW ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS and you'll be perfectly fine!!

    Thanks ASUS

  • Wall - E has more emotion than this guy. But thanks.
