  • It doesn't matter how many years go by. How many of lifes crisis' I have or how many other versions of this song I see, I ALWAYS come back to this one, Just lovely, I wish I could do what you do!

  • @mrchappelow3 Hey there, thanks a lot, a comment to be proud of, though it seems you've been going through some hard times :-(

    Cheers, my friend!

  • Greetings to everyone in the DOT harmonica players community ! :-) (and thanks about the G tone ! We all need this on the hard road to early Dylan-John Wesley Harding :-)

Bentonio07, When you say that it took you ages to figure out the simplest solos : how many "ages" ? (minutes per day / year. And how simple, as well ? :-) I'm doing a nice job on Jingle Bells, but that's not exactly what I had in mind :-)

Would you share some of your tricks with absolute beginners ?

    Thanx for the video !

  • Well, thanks a lot. It took me a couple of years to be able to play the things I play here on my channel. The most difficult solos for me are the ones in The River and From Hank to Hendrix. Some of the blues stuff is hard, too. I'm self taught. What I did is I bought a book about harmonica playing, did the first couple of lessons and then simple tried playing along. I would say this is one of the simpler ones

  • this is a good cover of this song, well done. you give it something different. by the way what irish pub?

  • Thanks a lot. It was an Irish pub in my German hometown ;-)

  • This is lovely, best cover on here apart from the pogues ones obviously! This song has absolutely nothing to do with ireland however, Ewan Macoll was a British songwriter born in Salford to Scottish parents. This song is about Salford/Manchester.
