  • @shangss its good for the streets but illegal in judo competiton if you apply it too fast.

  • @jaffar1808 how come? i was thinking it would be a good one to use

  • I did this one in competition got disqualified

  • @Patrickovisk You've obviously never been in the military. Go look up the Stripes article I cited (Stripes is a military news publication, genius). As for hand-to-hand combat, house to house searches are part of "close quarters combat" -- so yes, there are plenty of opportunities for hand to hand combat. Hell, the Stryker Brigades were issued combat tomahawks. Again, put down your COD game and go do some actual research. How about you get off your duff and join the military?

  • @BloodofPatriots "shows soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq are fighting for their lives in hand-to-hand combat with insurgents"

    Dude, what the fuck.

Soldiers uses rifles, pistols and mounted MG etc etc. Insurgents uses sniper rifles, bombs, and try to hide. How can they engage in hand-to-hand combat?!

  • @Patrickovisk Insurgents don't wear body armor because they want to blend into the civilian population. Stripes Magazine published an article on February 23, 2010, stating: "Confronted by a recent survey that shows soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq are fighting for their lives in hand-to-hand combat with insurgents, U.S. Army officials are revamping their basic combatives training to better equip American forces to defend themselves." Put down Call of Duty and do some research next time.

  • @GJJFan You did not get me, I'm saying that in modern battlefields, since the effective use of gunpowder against swords and close combat, martial arts became less useful in a war. Modern Military uses missiles, tanks, airplanes, warships. Back then martial arts were made to war, cuz the wars were in close range, man-to-man. I don't think an British or Ameican soldier would be able to use Judo in an insurgent with all that equipment, bodyarmor, and the possibility to "Apache them". I

  • @Patrickovisk "The times for Martial Arts for war if gone"? REALLY? Ok, what world do YOU live in? There is currently about 30 conflicts (or wars, skirmishes, etc.) going on globaly RIGHT NOW! Look at the stuff in the Middle East. Lybia, Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Palastine, Africa, the Congo Region. Pick a spot! LOL The world IS a giant battleground, with "civility" thrown in for S-N-G. A lot of TRUE Martial Artists, are trying to bring back the self defense, while promoting thru sport.
