My dad is using a cheap spray bottle to apply wood stain to the baby cradle we built. With all the nooks and cranny's, it would be hard to get an even coat using just a rag.

  • Brilliant! I have a similar project, and this will save so much time! Can you tell me what kind of wood stain you used? Looks beautiful!

  • @chtthatsme I believe the stain was minwax brand. We used the Polycrilic finish on it.

  • great idea!!!

did you sandpaper the wood before applying the wood stain?

  • Yes. We sanded each piece before we assembled it, then again right before we stained it.

  • Awesome idea!!! I have stripped and sanded down the cradle I used as a baby and was still indecisive about staining or painting. I prefer to stain but our cradle has turned spindles and that would have been a JOB compared to spray painting. We even thought about buying one of those big sprayers you use on a deck just to make the chore easier. A little cleaner bottle never occured to me so I'm so glad you posted this!
