A method for disinfecting your makeup - especially eyeshadows which rarely ever on youtube get mentioned. This is a safe, quick and easy method and not to mention won't cost you much either.

  • THANK. YOU. SO. MUCH.

ive been looking for this video for a VERY long time.

  • Thank you, you are wonderful. Dr. Oz says you can also freeze your mascara and cream make up (at least every 3 weeks) to kill bacteria, and suggests scraping off a top layer of your powder make up every month for those that don't want to spray. You can do a google search on his article. A huge recommendation from Oz....clean the bottom of your purse, wallet etc with a spray alcohol as thats where us gals pick up lots of gross stuff....Thanks for this video, now I won't toss things so fast

  • He does use beauty-so-clean now. It prevents discolouration that rubbing alcohol/99%alcohol tend to do. But they are still great for disinfecting. He has a more recent video on this as well.

  • Would you still recommend this over beauty so clean? I'm contemplating buying it for my personal stash as I don't use them often I'm afraid they'll grow stuff before I get to use them. Also do you still clean your brushes with alcohol? Thanks in advance!!

  • Ive been looking for a vid like this !!!

  • OMG! I never knew you could disinfect your make up or SHOULD for that matter. Brushes I knew about I clean them with soap and water. If you have a better way please tell me. But I did not know about the disinfecting of your make up. THANKS!!!

  • 02:08 I want you to finish on me...

  • @zonko82 ...it's rubbing alcohol. You get it from any drugstore. It is the cheaper option. The other product is beauty so clean and you can google beauty so clean and order it from their website.

  • @speed0spank no, I only use the makeup for me and every now and then my sister. My eye liner is the kind you twist. I'm not sure if it can be sharpen. Does it have to be disinfected if i also use that on me only.

  • @mschiffon Pencil eyeliner is sharpened,so the tip that touched the eye is gone anyways. If you want to use mascara on others in a sanitary way you need a tube of mascara that has NEVER been used on anyone(the brush), and you need to use disposable mascara wands to apply it, and do NOT double dip the wand or else you might as well be using the brush. If it is for personal use, there is no need to disinfect mascara as they need to be tossed out about every 3 months. Hope it helps!

  • can this be done pencile eye liner and what about mascara?

  • thank u wayne i was wondering how to disinfect my makeup without ruining it
