As a Notre Dame fan I know I'm probably being a sore loser, and Michigan played a great game, BUT.....according to NCAA rule, the ball is dead as soon as it hits anything after fumbled out-of-bounds. As you can clearly see, ND should have had one more play, as time was not expired upon first touching.

  • ND being sore losers? We are used to that. After the "bush push", the decisions of the Big 10 refs. at the UM wasn't a surprise. It's amazing how replays look one way to the refs. and another to the rest of the world. Nothing was conclusive. That's a four point difference and ND wins. That's not sore, that's a FACT!

  • Yes you are being a sore loser, but is there any other way for a domer fan?

  • Also, that'd probably be around 1/3 of a second or less left (pure guess) if this time clock shown is indeed accurate (often times other clocks aren't totally in synch with the official clock.) Again, most plays aren't under such particular scrutiny. I'm sure if I were a Notre Dame fan I would have wanted another play too, but really, even if the time clock shown is totally accurate, we're talking maybe 1/3 of a second, assuming the officials should be so inhumanly precise,

  • I'm curious where you got the game and play clock from, as I didn't see it on ESPN. I'm sure if you thoroughly examine all of the game you could find a bunch of things to complain about on both sides, with close games it's easy to find them, and it's special pleading to expect the final play to be different. One more play @ own 47-I'm glad to see that you didn't complain about the 2 seconds running off on the kickoff though, as #32 touched the ball two seconds before it ran out of the end zone.
