Just doing a response to TonyaTKO's video about despair getting to people. Don't really have a problem with it... but I do take issue with just one little thing. Nihilism isn't really despair.

I'm just trying to make sure people think. I find that with many people if you tug at the strings enough, they don't have anything to back up their ideas. Think what you think, but know why; be able to back it up. Opinions, beliefs, and ideas are not beyond reproach. I agree with much of what you're saying, but sometimes a lot is left unsaid, that needs to be said - everyone's calling for something to be done, yet noone wants to say what.

And I need to make more videos, don't I?

Too true... it is obvious at times that there are too many people who have opinions that they love to push on people, but they have no real foundation to back up whatever it is they are selling. That's why I'm glad you comment: the fact that you ask these questions keeps me on my toes and will hopefully get other people to ask those type of questions about anything else.

I will admit that sometimes I leave things out just so that people can figure those things out on their own.

Just make sure who's strings u tug. I often see young intellectuals challenge close minded elders. Sometimes they're just at a point where w/e it is they believe in, is part of their mental/emotional stability.

Some people find that funny and start to attack these people only to see them flip their shit. It's pointless.

Don't worry i'm not accusing you of anything. What you said simply reminded me of this phenomenon of apathy towards fragile people.

I think it takes a special kind of people to lead a happy or zenful Nihilistic life. If you think about it though...nihilism seems to be the simple curiosity in an alternative way of orientation for the human mind. Without label. It's a "what if" not an effect. A risk for all, a challenge for most, and a breakthrough for some.

Like you said, the good and bad. Everything has an emotional label.

Like how you put music in your videos. it gives an epic feeling to them. And you never miss a beat.

As for nihilism, it is appealing. It does help you understand the nature of things, if not in and of itself then by how it makes you think. Looking through what is illusory is important. I mean, look at the economy - it's collapsing because the money it was based on was illusory, and when you try to grab an illusion, well...

And nihilists are right to think that nothing has an intrinsic value. Value is subjective, and what is of worth to one observer is trash to another.
