Filmmaker Robert Kenner lifts the veil on our nation's food industry, exposing the highly mechanized underbelly that has been hidden from the American consumer with the consent of our government's regulatory agencies, USDA and FDA. Our nation's food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. Featuring interviews with such experts as Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation), Michael Pollan (The Omnivore's Dilemma, In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto) along with forward thinking social entrepreneurs like Stonyfield's Gary Hirshberg and Polyface Farms' Joel Salatin, Food, Inc. reveals surprising--and often shocking truths--about what we eat, how it's produced, who we have become as a nation and where we are going from here. • Loved the movie! Go organic!

  • It's globalization - that's the problem and the mega corporations who want to control everything. Farming is declining in the USA. Grow your own food or go local as much as you can. Read the science for your health.

  • I've never seen this moviie. I have to ask my library for bringing this DVD. But this movie is going to make me angry, sad and thinking ow people are so stupid.

I stopped to buy every 'ready to cook' foods snacks or whatever which has'nt natural ingredients. I buy only local vegetables from the market (it has a good rated label from greenpeace, wwf...) or from farmers.

Incredible! Our food became scary as hell!

    Vegan and natural greetings

  • well it all comes down to supply and demand. if people demand cheap unhealthy food, someone will supply it. the problem shown in the movie will never change.

  • Where can this be watched online?

  • lmao i work at McDonlds and ya tha shit there is trash, they put summin in it that makes u wanna come back, its not ok for me 2 smoke pot because its bad for me but i can eat all the nasty food in the world because i have the right 2? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... doesnt make sence

  • Everyone's into buying organic, but how do we truly know it is organic? A label, the fda approval of a company. The reality is organic or not corporations are there for profit. Unless you buy from a small time farmer or grow it yourself, question it's source. Especially if these organic companies are selling enough organic products to fill every thousands of grocery store isles. Companies that large are there for the bottom line. We need to change what we eat, start to buy local or homegrow.

  • The truth is somewhere in between with lies sandwiched between truths on both sides

  • fast food is ok its only delicious eating them once in a while. The only problem is that i love chips, juice and soda ):. I love organic milk though!
