    The last version ties the first note of the trill (the re) with the previous note (which is a re too.)

    This way, instead of repeating the Re, you're playing it as one note.

    This way of playing was often used in the French harpsichord music, with as purpose adding more expression.

    By the way, I didn't get the last version exactly. What's the difference from the first version?

  • Grazie per gli esempi. Nel edizione di Berenreiter (inventions and sinfonias) c'e' una tabella che spiega come dovrebbero essere eseguiti i trilli secondo Bach. Ad esempio il trillo spesso consiste di 5 note piu' l'ultima.
