Marilyn was almost always smiling, even though sometimes she had no reason to do it, we're very similar when it comes to that, i admire her a lot that's why i made this video :D

  • @mralphlauren Nope. you're all the way wrong. This is the very original version of this song, by Betty Hutton, recorded in 1951. Björk's version was just a remake of Betty's song.

  • @PsychoBob78 And if you read what I posted carefully, I wrote she was beautiful and tragic. I never wrote that she was tragic because of her media persona.

I feel that if Marilyn Monroe is your taste, then you should enjoy hearing her and watching her movies. No one will or should fault you for your opinion. Take care.

  • @PsychoBob78 As I said before, I was merely stating my opinion. I have also heard her recordings and they sounded good. But I've also heard her live performances and they cannot compare.

As for her literary knowledge or love and her talent as a poet...I was referring to her on-screen persona. I'm sure as a person, she enjoyed many things. She was a loving, caring individual who was taken from this world far too soon. I hope she finally found her peace.

  • @mralphlauren yep... and Bjork took the song from Betty Hutton (1951)... sorry... I'm sitting at home with a broken ankle and get bored.

  • @CamdenMo Adding.... I have a CD of Marilyn's, and she could definately carry a tune.

  • @CamdenMo She was also a poet, and lover of literature... but as you stated about her other talents, I'm guessing she WASN'T a poet either, because her legacy is so fixated on the beautiful dumb blonde stereotype. She was more than the sex symbol media persona that made her famous. THAT is her tragedy.

  • @BlazeetSKANK It is merely an opinion. I might also say it is an opinion that is shared by others as well. As I said, she was a very beautiful woman. But that's pretty much what her talent was....looking amazing in the dress. She did sing, but wasn't a singer. She did act, but wasn't very good at that either. As I said, this is just my opinion. She was beautiful and tragic.

  • @CamdenMo Actually yes she could, and the maker of this video already stated its Bjork singing ;]

  • Love it!

Bjork and Marilyn - that'sa wonderful mix *_*

  • Pretty sure this isn't Marilyn singing. She was a beautiful woman, but she could not carry a tune.
