No, but by invading Iraq, the GOP did insist that Americans must die for the agenda of the narrow minded Neocons whom control the GOP and do not have the best interests of the American people at heart.
This on top of many reasons is why the Republicans don't deserve to exist as a party and why many Americans don't trust the GOP.
Denial of their massive failures will only make their decline faster.

The global police reason you're using right now was the back up reason after the WMD reason was proven wrong.
And if the Bush tax cuts worked, the economy would be booming even better than it did under the Clinton years before these tax cuts, instead of being on the verge of a depression.
Next you'll be trying to convince us the Earth is flat and shit tastes like ice cream.
Both the Iraq war and the Bush tax cuts equates to generational theft and the GOP was silent about this.

You are misled! The Iraq war got rid of a very bad murderer and destablization force. The Bush tax cuts are better than anything coming out of the current administration, which understands nothing about America!

After the BS about the Iraq war who would ever trust the GOP about anything they ever say again?
And if they cared so much about government spending they would opposed the Iraq war as well as the Bush tax cuts for the rich that have caused all this debt they're pretending to care about.
