I think, contrary to Friedman's comment, Jil Sander had a sensuality and elegance in her designs. It's not fair to say Sander was not sexy; she did very elegant sheer pieces in her later spring collections (1998 I think). She understood a woman's body and her desires in dressing better than Raf seems to. Perhaps its because Sander is a woman, or perhaps because she is a lesbian, or perhaps because she just has more natural talent. I wish Jil would return to fashion.
