Yanks never got Oasis. I seriously do believe that's because they're just generally, on average, depressingly fucking stupid.
Some might say the whole nation (the USA) is a festering embarrassment to the unparalleled institution that is the ENGLISH language - that they do try to appeciate their mode of communication but almost always universally fail.
