The yearly Uchinanchu (Okinawan) festival in Kapiolani Park in Oahu has been going on for 26 years to honor and celebrate the Okinawan culture and its history. Hawai'i has a very large population of Okinawans dating back several hundred years. In addition to traditional Okinawan music and dancing, there are martial demonstrations, vendor booths selling Okinawan products, cultural services, and the biggest area of course is the FOOD!!!
