Previously, polish processing was the only way possible to manufacture compound parabolic concentrators (CPC). Isuzu Glass has announced that it has successfully produced CPCs using a glass mold process.
This new process makes it possible to reduce CPC production costs.
Applications cover the full range of LED products (projectors, lighting devices, et cetera) because it is possible to significantly increase light intensity. In addition, CPCs manufactured using this new production method can be used in solar power systems (concentrating photovoltaic systems) since they can transfer sunlight to solar cell elements efficiently.

In fact I think light weight fiber optic does improve the design a lot. However, fiber has a tendency to decompose in the air from what I've heard. Most fiber is made of organic compound and can be decomposed by the charges the air carries.
Also, the absorptance should be taken into account since you don't want too much sun rays being absorbed by your reflector before you harness them in the collector.

Should light weight fiber optic improve this design? For example, light concentrated by these devices can be converged further through fiber optic to another device like this. Of course, we must know the melting point of these CPC.

The only immediate answer is for ppl to stop living like pigs. A camel will amble through the eye of a needle, first.

CPC's with enough concentration power to be useful require tracking and cpc's that don't require tracking aren't very useful.
