There were some good looking cumulus clouds about 5k to the west of the Currituck County Airport (were KHK tows from) so part-time dune instructor Alex T. (aka McLovin [sorry Alex]) and I went for it. The sea breeze was working its way inland but we managed to stay ahead of it before it suppressed the lift. The wind was generally honking and had hard time of getting one complete turn in lift. In any case I flew my freedom just short of 18 miles in a little over and hour (alot of gliding in lift lines)
Just realized you probably have the Wills "A" frame set up;;;;;Anyway enjoyed the video(s) of your towing adventures.

Stephan, Really like the idea of towing up in coastal air and then heading inland for the thermals....You stated you're flying a Freedom and I noticed a "faired" base tube in the video. Please tell me how/where you acquired this as I want one for my Freedom. TIA
