Here we see an example of the dangers of stopping for red lights. I can see these lights have been green for some time, familiar with the timing I know they're likely to change and so am able to comply with them easily when they do. What I did not expect was to be overtaken so closely by a recovery vehicle laden with one police van and towing another. Seems this driver was in a bit of a rush. Lucky those pedestrians were paying attention. A surprisingly short distance along the road I pass them back again, see the stills at the end of the video. It seems that the driver hasn't noticed his number plate has fallen off the van he's towing!

  • I saw this exact tow truck at Aldgate, I remembered because of the two police cars. We must have almost crossed paths :)

Hmm, I'd say yes in that case. Well, within 10 or 15 minutes anyway. Traffic was pretty nasty from Mile End onwards and it would have taken them a while to reach Aldgate.

  • 0:09 bloody hell that was shocking close

  • @dronespace

    Yeah, I know!

  • Please report this one.

Overtakes closely,....closer....closer still...and past yo....oh wait, towing...even closer....racing to the lights....to go through on red.

  • @powercranking

Yes, the video is important so they can see exactly what happened. Sure you can explain something to someone but you may miss an important detail. With the camera, there's no question of who did what.

  • when you reported this driver did you send in this video footage?

  • Like the Pug and the Labrador! I thought dogs were bcoming extinct in east London!

  • Blimey!!!! Thanks for reporting him mate.
