Polish soprano Barbara Dobrzanska in a touching interpretation of Liu's aria "Signore ascolta" (with an incredible crescendo from pppp to ffff at the final b flat), filmed on 24 November 2006.
Look out for the other clips with this soprano.
Sorry for the AWFUL and idiotic staging, where the singers had to stand most of the time in a frame, invisible to a large part of the audience.
More info about her at http://www.fischerartists.com/dobrzanska.htm

I just saw her in Karlsruhe too, where I retired after years in the US Military. Her Butterfly had my wife and I in tears. The best since Licia Albanese we think. She is doing a Manon Lescout here end of next month with Ikaya-Purdy.(He was her Pinkerton. Also great.) That should be one for the books. John Sanchez Karlsruhe, Germany
