Miscalculation and self-expectation
One more emulation of years of abuse

Some kind of you-like version of the truth
Wanting to shake you see we behave differently
And I am much more than a reflection of you

Sometimes it's shocking this process of talking
Where what you perceive is so far from my heart
And I am no different, I too tend to invent
From the unimportant a provocative art
So what is the meaning that merits believing And is there a medium where we can meet?
Do you think you could ever really see me
From any place but your own shoes on your feet?

Can you wait, watch and wait for me

And don't ascribe me any malice
Stop expecting me to destroy you
Cuz that is never my desire, to burn you or break you,
It's just an implement my habit may employ to keep me safe
And keep me sound

When we came together we loved all the differences
They helped make us better they helped us to see
But as we keep hanging round and frustrations abound
Well I just keep wishing you could be more like me
So what of the promises made by the parts of us
That see far beyond the perpetual child?
Can we keep holding the wisdom and knowing that flowed from or hearts as we started this ride?
