[Fuel for Fukushima!!]
Earthquake hit East Japan on March 11 destroyed the railway network.
The Tohoku line was unusable.
There was no transportation to affected areas.
But many fuel needs.
Only way to bypass the Banetsu-west Line.
Banetsu-west Line is local line, and not even electricity.
Electric locomotive was not available.
Can not use the new heavy diesel locomotives too.
Older diesel locomotives (TypeDD51) was collected from all around Japan.
That has started transportation of fuel for Fukushima.
This is the very precious train for the reconstruction of Japan.

  • Thank you for information on the operation of the trains, Your country has many problems to overcome and I wish the Japanese people the strength to do it.

  • Great shots

  • Hallo from Greece. God bless Japan. Good camera job & nice diesel locomotives.

  • First of all. My great sympathy with the Japanese people. So, for our common interest. Great old diesels, which does not fail when they are needed. Very good video. Greetings from Norway.
