  • Great tutorials! My friend taught me the hook kick by starting with an inside crescent kick. When the kick is mid-air, he told me to twist my body to the side or even face the back so as to perform a hook kick. I find it helps me kick higher and more powerful. (Of course the problem is I can't do the same with a spinning hook kick obviously) Any opinions? It will help a lot. Again, awesome tutorials! Thanks.

  • When I do this kick, it ends up being almost like a crescent kick. I find it hard to chamber my knee and do it properly. Are there any tips for that?

  • @darkriskside Thank you kind sir. I'll keep practicing.

  • @JaLomangino is not about what you're doing wrong is most about keep practicing, this kick involves a lot of technique, so your muscles have to adapt to the movement, and also the tip toes will help to go higher but its a moment where your stance becomes a little unbalanced too, so you have to practice it to master it

  • i can get a cramp from that

  • haha! Take this!

    *FOOT SLAP*

    Opponent: -.-'

  • I dont know if your going to read this but i cant consistently get my kick above shoulder but i did notice that at the height of your kick you are on your tip toes and i am almost flat footed but i dont think that will get me enough height to get this kick high enough and i dont really feel strain in any tendons or muscles when i throw the kick so i dont think its my flexibility. What do you think im doing wrong?

  • @andrebading I cant get that high either. we need to stretch more.

  • tsshh

  • lol spinning "slap" kick, good tutorial, this really helps when it comes to fully understand the kick, thank you!
