We are all doomed

..and let's not forget Bush's buddy-buddy with the one and only Vladimir Putin! The awareness of whom you are dealing with may not be immediately apparent; I see only decency in Chomsky, and I respect his views. Life is too precious to leave to the warheads to decide upon.

Hey noam why are you such a two faced little nancy boy? If you hate america then go live elsewhere . And give up your tenure at your prestigious american university . Peter coyote should scalp chomsky then howl at the moon and ride a horse named washington into the night waving an american flag.
-
But fuck this blabber mouth chomsky blah blah blah . I wish my parents named me peter coyote ! Thats a strong name. Haha noam is such a little shit name.

Chomsky is a big fish in a small pond. Can anyone tell me what he does thats good?

Of course, Eisenhower and Chomsky are right: when a nation like America, even though very powerful and rich, spends $500-$700B a year cranking out unusable hardware --- and there's tons of human thinking, labor, and software cost behind those hardware, too --- the resources that's put into such activities are taken from endeavors that could go into producing rice, wheat, meat, shoes, better & more homes, better & safer jobs, educating millions more for longer years, and so on.

what a liberal scumbag...

@Chomskyan People are conditioned to expect a passionate ranting spectacle every time they hear anything political or that is controversial. Think of Hardball type shows - the crude, low level of communication they get from TV.
NC just talks in a normal tone, it throws them off! HAHAA!
How many times I heard, "he's boring".. meanwhile the guy is schooling you on the most important issues and giving an excellent demonstration of how to make rational arguments and present evidence

@Muffinfordinner: Empirical dreams will be the means of our destruction.

I wish that America could be an empire. But frankly I don't have that much faith in the statesmanship of our leaders. Sounds too hard for us.
-
In actuality those are not uplifting rhetoric, what is uplifting is submission, servitude to god. That is because it is unique, and different from the regurgitated rhetoric of empire before.
This is a nice add, C. The thing that always amazes me about NC is how he talks about the totally criminal actions of the the govt in this sort of flat affect way. He's always so calm and collected as though he's talking about the weather. I border on lunacy when I talk about this stuff. He's truly amazing.

Hey Devon, thanks.
Some people actually criticize him for remaining so calm.... I don't know why. People like to judge from appearance I guess.
He's said that he is actually seething inside all the time. We should all be. We just express the anger differently. He channels it into reasoned critique. I only hope to be as productive as he has been.
