Basically an intelligent girl who valued only men who she could get something out of - witness the way the guy who was in her music class was ignored in favour of the rich character with the car.It shows that nothing has changed since the 1960's.

I saw it when it came out. I thought it was a great movie.

Nick is the best, i love him, I love the movie. Its special. I dont ever hate the older dude, i never once think of him as a pedophile or anything (as most people probably should), i just think he is as lost as this teenage girl..

Nick Hornby was a good pick to turn this memoir into a film, he did a great job with the characters.
