Yeah easy to say that, a bit hard when you're best friend dies and you're addicted to painkillers you fool.
I know because I had the exact same situation. My best childhood friends died two years ago and I got addicted to codiene, not because of that but like with Em, just made it worse.
He was a pure addict. Can't just 'snap out of it'.
Also, Em took a break on purpose. He didn't 'not do shit' for 5 years.
After Encore he did Obie's album, Cashis, the Re-up. Took a break on purpose.
