No Matter What (Badfinger) 4 of 4; 14 Jan 2010

The (genius!) Badfinger classic, as performed by me as part of the Prince's Trust 'Millon Makers' fund-raising concert put on at the Hard Rock Cafe in Cardiff, UK, by staff of the Welsh Assembly Government. Heavily curtailed as we were all under strict instructions not to exceed 15 minutes, which in the stage manager's mind meant 3 songs regardless of length(!); I was squeezing another song in with him watching over me! So no proper verse structure, no solo (& I do a great Jason Falkner - Jellyfish style solo, honestly!) & even a shortened bridge resulting from a desire to dash through the song (oh OK, actually resulting from mistakenly playing G instead of A & having to quickly cover my own ineptitude!). Some ragged, ramshackle playing (even compared to the other 3 songs!) but great fun nonetheless! 8-)

One regret - because of snow I travelled light to cardiff on the train & plugged my faithful Danelectro U2 straight into a karaoke PA; I so wish I'd taken my Flextone 3 & played through that, the guitar would have sounded SO much better... ah well. Next time!
