I cried at this scene :\
-
@aguyyaknow OMFG, none doesn't but his rules prevent them from killing themselves and MiB from killing them! god! they can't commit suicide, they have to get someone else to kill them like Richard tried to make Jack kill him in Dr Linus! the island has nothing to do with all that, it was all Jacob's doing!
-
Yes, making statements is a very easy thing.
In just what episode, in what scene, did anyone ever say that the imortality was caused by "Jacobs rules"?
-
@aguyyaknow still wasn't the island, was just Jacob's rules. The Island has nothing to do with it, all of them couldn't kill themselves because they were candidates, only others who are not stricken with the rules can kill them, they can also kill each other. Sawyer made the bomb go faster and that's what killed Sayid,Sun and Jin. Only Candidates and those who are not bound by rules can kill candidates
-
I suppose that is why they continuously used the phrase "the island won´t let [insert any name here] die"?
Also, it did seem very clear that the candidates could only die through suicide. That´s what the whole submarine-thing was all about.
-
@aguyyaknow no, the MiB was unable to kill the candidates because of Jacob's rules, not the island itself. and Michael was killed by Keamy, they can't kill themselves, someone who is not stricken by the rules themselves (I.E, Ben) can kill them.

What episode is this?
-
@Missiray Ahh, thank you.
This scene is so amazingly creepy. That beautiful blue sky and then all those dead bodies on the ground. It's one of Lost's most haunting scenes.

Why are the Others so hostile with everyone else on the island?
