Papaya fuè un caso muy particular en la mùsica de los 70`s en la q habiendo tantos grupos, bandas, baladistas etc, Dudziak logra colocar èste sencillo con su ritmo pegajoso. En su momento fuè muy recurrente para tablas ritmicas muy ad hoc al dìa q hoy celebramos en Mèxico.

@archsword69 Not really. Like others already mentioned here, the song has been named after one of New York's music clubs. It's an original song by Dudziak and it's from her solo debut album from 1976. No Filipino influence ;)

So ok, Michael Urbaniak looks like James Seals from Seals and Crofts hehehehe... seriously, it looks like Marcus Miller is the bass player on the video. Am I right? The bass guitar is a clue.
