  • This would interest me as I am a total gaming novice. I know Doctor Who and this knowlege could be usefull. As for the talking over killing, that is the philosophy of Doctor Who, the Doctor NEVER kills when there is a possible life saving option available and if he has to, only in self defence.

  • Nerdgasm!

    I'm really interested in this.

i like that Sarah Jane and K-9 are included in the companions. I wonder if Mickey is in there too?

I'm hoping it has the Ood in the creatures section.

hopefully they do a full sourcebook on Torchwood.

I've been waiting for your review of the game before I pick it up (The price is a little too high for me to just impulse buy it without knowing what it contains.)

I'm having my FLGS order it for me tomorrow.

    Thanks for the review.

  • Great game, one of the few non bRP systems we use, the others are some fgu and WEG

  • Love this game and the original form he 80s....but cubicle 7 is soooo fucking slow with releasing new products

  • Dear Kurt, I'm a fellow old Whovian from the 1980s and also enjoying the 2005-present revival. I also own several copies of the three Dr Who RPGs past and present. Anyway, I read in the latest issue of the Diary of the Doctor Who Role-Playing Games that you participated in a gaming session of DW AITAS at Gen Con 2011. There is a little article on page 10 of issue 11. They say you roleplayed The Doctor extremely well and were voted best roleplayer by the others. 8-)

  • I want it badly. xD

  • I for one am glad it didn't use FATE. I really dislike FATE.

  • If you want a more combat oriented game all you have to do is tweak the rules and rearrange the order of initiative so that Combat comes higher. That, or choose your favorite initiative system and tweak it to fit into this one.

  • Upside down TARDIS at 3:42.

  • guys, I'm playing a psychic Time Lord. she's broken without any character advancement. such a thing is not necessary.

  • I LOVE that tie the zombie's shoelaces idea!

  • The only thing I'm not crazy about in this game is the character advancement (or lack of it). I've read that the system is very similar to Buffy RPG. What is the character advancement like in that game? Could it be easily ported over?

    Or.

Is the lack of character advancement a good thing in this game?
