Adopt, don't buy. Sell bird products, not birds. We don't breed human babies for sale, so why animals? The shelters are overrun with people abandoning their birds that were once cute babies. Please do your research before deciding to care for a bird. It's not easy or cheap. I mean no harm with this message.

@AdoptParrots Your are entitled to your opinion. I feel that people should have the right to own birds that are lovingly raised with the intent that they be optimal pets. To "adopt" a bird is often not an option. Where you live plays a part in this, and living in less populous, rural areas pretty much guarantees you will not even find a bird to adopt, let alone one which was not abandoned there because it was improperly raised and cared-for. @nitaguru I completely agree that people should do their research BEFORE buying a bird to add to their family. It is a life-long commitment and they will be caring for their bird long after their human children have left the nest. Not only should you do research on the species of bird to find if it is compatible with your lifestyle, you should also take the time to find a breeder that has raised your baby in a way which is going to start him on a good path with as few problems as possible.
