@herkull1 I don't know the difference between the two breed's characters, but they really do look similar on the outside. I know they aren't the same, but they are cousins, so there must be a lot of similarities. People always call them pit bulls, whether they're Amstaffs or not, so I wouldn't be able to tell the major differences between the breeds. I do know that the Staffordshire Bull terrier is way smaller, so that's easy. But the differences between Amstaffs and APBTs? No idea.

@HTTS76 I'm American Stafford owner too.i must say that between Am-staff and Pit bull there's a huge difference.
they might look like the same but they aren't

I'm a proud American Stafford owner (the term pit bull is quite broad and includes several other breeds). My dog is very soft tempered, loves nothing more than attention, and is an overall friendly and very hyperactive dog. I see people cross the street with their little ankle biting dogs and the small ones always bark first. My dog never barks back. He only wants to play. People who think that these dogs are naturally agressive know next to nothing about dogs. It's all about how you raise them.

@FUzupf Actually, let me give kudos to the shit bull owner I saw in the park last Tuesday who actually put his shit bull on the lead when he saw me enter the park with my Clumber Spaniel. At least SOME of you have a modicum of common sense.

@FUzupf And stop calling me a "pit hater." I told you before, it's impossible for a human being to feel hate for an animal. OR PERHAPS YOU DON'T THINK BLACK PEOPLE ARE HUMAN BEINGS YOU VILE RACIST???!!! - Just kidding!
-
@FUzupf I didn't say shit bulls were responsible for all for all the year's fatal attacks. Just most. Rottweilers were responsible for almost all the other fatalities. It may surprise you to know that many years ago, I used to own a sibling pair of Rottweilers. They were wonderful dogs. However, would I recomend them as pets for the average person? HELL NO! I love the breed but they are not pets. That's the difference between you and me FUZUPF. I can be objective about my chosen breed.

@FUzupf That aside; I don't have to protest against the things you listed because there are laws, prison sentences and government bodies already dealing with them far better than I could. Furthermore, those things fall into 3 catagories. The social compact, matters beyond human control (tornadoes) and problems being solved as we speak. Shit bulls are presently outside of all 3 and as a law abiding dog owner I think it's my duty to stand up and do something about shit bulls. That's all really.
@RAIDERS58th Well, my oldest pit bull was attacked by a standard poodle at the dog park. Then my 2nd oldest was attacked by a Shepherd mix. I too, stopped going to dog parks. A chihuahua bit my 2 yr old daughter. A German Shepherd knocked over my step-daughter AND her Great Grandmother. A mini-pincher bit my wife's leg. Her brother was mauled by a German Shepherd when he was a boy. Do you want me to go on??
The point is, all of us do not hate the BREEDS of any of these.

@RAIDERS58th NICE insult buddy! I love it!
Let me get this straight....you witnessed their, "psychotic nature." So you saw 2 dogs get into it at the dog park. No questions asked?
Yep, you got me. I guess ALL pit bulls are fighters, huh?
-So if I SEE a Dalmation, I should assume it sleeps at a firehouse?
-If I SEE a Border Collie, I should assume it sleeps at a farm?
-If I SEE a GSD, I should just assume it's with a K9 Unit?
-If I SEE a St. Bernard, it should be rescuing a trapped skier?
WOW!
