Over 60 With FRISBEE Ebike Outperforms At Dolomiti Bike Race

It's the first time that an electric pedal assisted E-Bike, it's a Frisbee Softbike, participated not officially at a classic Dolomites-Bike-Roundtrip lasting 6 days, held in the enhancing scenario of the Dolomite mountains in Alto-Adige/Südtirol Italy. The special prepaired Frisbee Softbike from the Italian producer TC Mobility in Bolzano participated all 6 up-hill-racings of the length of about 10 km and an altitude difference of over 1000 m each, reaching best results and also a first time at time measurement! The e-biker was intentionally not a bike-racer, but an over 60 amateur biker, to demonstrate that, also in his sixties, a person can enjoy the freedom to participate at wonderful roundtrips!

E' la prima volta che una bici elettrica a pedalata assistita, una Frisbee Softbike, partecipa fuori gara, al mitico Giro delle Dolomiti, Tour di Ciclismo di 6 giorni nel fantastico scenario delle Dolomiti in Alto Adige-Sudtirolo, Italia. La Frisbee Softbike, pedelec preparata dal produttore italiano TC Mobility, ha preso parte anche a tutte 6 le cronoscalate di lunghezze medie di 10 km e con dislivelli di oltre 1000 m ciascuna, ottenendo risultati notevoli e anche un primo piazzamento. Intenzionalmente vi ha partecipato un ciclista amatoriale oltre i 60 anni, a dimostrare che, anche per chi non è più giovanissimo, è possibile partecipare a favolose gite in montagna!


Zum ersten Mal nimmt ein Elektrorad mit Tretunterstützung, ein Frisbee Softbike, nicht offiziell, an der klassischen Dolomiten-Radrundfahrt in Südtirol Italien teil. Ein Frisbee Softbike, Pedelec-Entwicklung des in Bozen Italien ansässigen Produzenten TC Mobility, hat an allen 6 zeitgemessenen Pass-Aufstiegen teilgenommen (ca. 10 km je und Höhenunterschiede über 1000 m), und sehr gute Platzierungen, darunter auch eine Bestzeit, vermerken lassen. An der Dolomiten-Radrundfahrt hat auch ein Amateur-Radfahrer über 60 Jahre teilgenommen, damit kann bewiesen werden, dass es auch für ältere Jahrgänge möglich ist, an herrlichen Bergfahrten teilzunehmen!

@greatbigdane relax. whats disrespectful about passing a "real cyclist" with a soft whizz of an electric engine (no fumes under your nose etc)...? the real cyclists didn"t hesitate to get a draft behind the e-bike, have you noticed? :)) hey, coexistence seems possible. // and... whats wrong with an option of sharing a challenging trip available for a broader circle of riders?

@459am Your 66cc motorized kit pollutes the air more than an SUV per mile traveled because of the absence of emissions equipment. The majority of electric bike riders bought theirs because they care about the environment. You may argue that electric bike still use fuel by way of power plants supplying electricity to your house, and there is truth to that, but going 2000 to 3000 miles per equivalent gallon of fuel is 1500 times better than a car!! I know because I have both!!

Ive had electric bikes and gas powered bicycles. My gas ones are so much better and cheaper. Dont even think of buying an electric kit or bike until you lool at the 66cc motorized kits for your bike at a 130 bucks.My gas powered bikes tops out at 40 mph or 60 kmh and is full suspension with a jack shaft kit.I will never buy electric again.

It's like bringing a gun to a knife fight. I like the idea, though. A person can get some good exercise on the e-bike and cover a lot more distance than a regular bike. Or ride it to work without getting sweaty. I like it.
