Small video filmed to give a better idea of my car. She's 1986 with 77,000 miles and just 2 previous owners. Don't think the video quality is that good but hopefully it shows that ,even in the mid-80's and with British Leyland owning them and trying their best to put the sometimes infamous "BL" stamp on it, Jaguar still had the knack to make a nice luxury car. These were almost the last Series 3 cars, although they carried on producing for another 8 years, the XJ6/12 shape would only be available with the V12 engine. The XJ40 was introduced in 1987 I believe ,but that car wasn't capable of being fitted with the 12 cylinder engine so this shape continued to be made to satisfy the still decent demand of buyers who would settle for no less than that engineering masterpiece of an engine.

  • lottery win= Id have one like this.

Glad to see one that s been treated so well, bnot the usual youtube smash-it-u atttiude.

Liked the radio, was that origional Jaguar ...or would I locate one similar now?

  • @Dav123xyz .

Sold now unfortunately. I've got a Merc 500 SEL. Lovely big old thing but not the panache that a series3 XJ has.

Radio was in when I got it, original Jag fitment by looks of things

  • I swear I have seen this car before, do you get it serviced in Bentley near Farnham by any chance?

  • @samandlauz . I sold it 15 months ago, it may have ended up down south???

  • Suning automobile. My favourite jag!

  • @kleinkeske . I think they were the best of the XJ6 shape too, and that shape ran from 1968 to 2009 in different guises but still essentiallly the same design criteria

  • **heavy breathing*** I think that ***heavy breathing*** the old school jaguars are aesthetically more appealing than their newer models. ***heavy breathing*** I just had to make a crack of that creepy breathing.

  • Looks a peach! One of the best looking cars ever made - one day I will get one...

  • i know it is not responsible at all, and i know jags are not the most reliable, yet fuel saving cars around, but when i get my license, i will buy an old Jag, there is no way around it, i am a petrol head and will not simply buy a stupid Volkswagen or Japanese lunchbox called Toyota. as a petrol head you will not go for something that just drives or brings you where you want. you will go for a real car, you will go for a Jaguar.

  • @walshy2866 Funny, I'm looking to sell my Merc 280SE for an XJ6 of my own

  • I used to have a Jaguar Series 3 V12 on a "C" plate (1985), I sold to a bloke near Gloucester. A gorgeous car indeed!

  • It's a beautiful jaguar, I have the XJ8

  • Oh that is one lovely car - it's so quiet we could hear you breathing!!!!!

I always wanted a Jaguar from the days I was at school. I used to see a red XJ12 going past in the mornings, I think it was JKB531L or 513L, in the 80's! I saw it 2 years ago in perfect condition and wanted to go after the driver and just admire the car. They really do look much better than modern Jaguars which just remind me of a Ford Mondeo with a body kit. These Jaguars are classic luxury cars.

  • oh hell yes. hey i made a comment b4!

  • i bet those windows could slice someone's head off!

  • I have the 3.4 model now Its the best thing I ever bought
