I think the movie would have been better with more Asians in the cast...just because that's basically what they were in the TV show, with some Non-Asians sprinlked around. Just to have it true to the series. In fact I really don't care if the movie Zuko was in slomdog millionaire. The guy who does the cartoon zuko's voice would have done a better job live action (and it would have been a nice surprise)!

I really don't care about that movie, and I really don't care who gets the parts.
If the roles are asians you would assume they would hire asians for them. In a cartoon it might matter less. I'm no expert on that. I don't think they had some evil plan when picking the actors and I don't think they should have to (legally) hire anyone from any specific race. I think this is just a funny coincidence. Btw. Jessica Andres looks like she could have a little asian blood. I'm white.

True. On Utada's video, many viewers said that she was good, but didn't prefer her music because she was Asian. I can't wait until Asians get the recognition they deserve in the U.S.

Honestly, too much bitching about Asian actors, in reality we need GOOD actors. Yes the main characters outside the water tribe should be Asian but Kitara and Sokka are dark skinned and this movie made them pure snow colored white. If we are complaining on casting then please complain about ALL the characters. Asian actors don't automatically mean good actors. And even so the movie would have still been the same with the stupidity of trying to fit every book into 1 hour and 30 minutes..
