@dukesara i was told it was the loop from mic to cpu to the head phones... the process that the vocals go through causes a delay... the way i was told to fix it was by getting a better sound card that could make the process easier... there was also a way to bypass the loop from mic to sound card to head phones... i cant figure any of it out.. bought a new sound card... tried a few recording studios... and to no avail...
@YaIgotSwag i have a similar problem, i record using sony acid wit the samson mic and it records off beat. when i rap and play it back im way off wtf??? i want to know how to fix that or im returning it back to best buy.
audacity has this option but when my head phones are plugged into my cpu the loop from mic to head phones is late... making it sound like a echo...resulting in throwing me off beat... will the connect of the head phones striaght to the mic by pass this latency and can i hear the beat i am recording over while the head phones are plugged into the mic instead of cpu... ??? kinda confusing i know.. but its hard 2 record when u cant hear yourself... so i need this fixed asap.
@YaIgotSwag you mean hearing yourself as you`re singing? Well, you gotta check the settings of your audio editing software. It should be in the settings under recording tab and labeled something like microphone monitoring.
@YaIgotSwag audacity doesn't have this feature.. get mixcraft or cool edit pro. i have cool edit pro 2.0 and its WONDERFUL!

i got the c01u it was 10$ more than meteor mic..
the meteor mic looks way better for the headset/volume control... but the c01u is better for recording i bet
