This is a video of me (Connor Ellison, 16 years old) from the Ascot Park Hotel Brass Band of Invercargill, New Zealand playing the euphonium solo "Grandfather's Clock" at the 2009 New Zealand Brass Band Contest, Junior (under 19) Euphonium solo section in Napier. This was the winning performance and ment that I went on to compete in the Junior Champion of Champions event (a competition with all the winners of the junior solo events of all the different instruments) where I got a highly commended. I hope you enjoy it! Feel free to leave appropriate comments.

  • @ConnorEllison that was actually a high Bb, four ledger lines above the bass clef staff. but if you were talking treble clef, you were correct.

  • Love the sign in the back, wondering how this video was made...

  • its very well played. a few split notes there but well done. i know how it feels to play a solo infront of everyone at a contest
