She walks on through the night
Her circumstances slight
Are only helping her to fail
And though she feels she's right
She tries with all her might
And makes the deepest peril pale
Oh, but she is unreal
Oh, but she doesn't feel
Oh, but she is unreal

She chooses who to love
And then unlike a dove
She takes the laughter from their smile
She wears a velvet glove
Her friends may find it rough
It is a gauntlet all the while
Oh, but she is unreal
Oh, but she doesn't feel
Oh, but she is unreal

  • Hello again my friend. I am really enjoying the songs you are putting on here. Most of my BJH is on vinyl which I am slowly replacing with DVD. Meantime it is great to pop on you tube and hear stuff like this again.

    Keep up the good work.

  • Hi there, Pete.

Thanks again. I'm glad you like the music I'm uploading. BJH is one of my favourites. Especially their debut is marvellous.

  • Often its the simplest tunes with the simplest arrangements that are the most effective. Love this tune! I haven't heard this in 20 years, I was reading The Lord of the Rings when I first came across this.

  • Harmonies very reminiscent of John Lodge from the Moody Blues. Very beautiful track with mellotron in background. (I think.)

  • superbe chanson

  • very nice song...

  • Ecco perchè la svizzera li ha amati tantissimo!!

    Grandi, indimenticabili BJH !

  • In the early years the songs were more beautiful!

  • Another great song of the early BJH.

  • And this is undoubtely one of the most beautiful songs of the early years of BJH.

    Great memories!!

    Ciao

    Fer

  • Hei to surethingbaby! BJH are indeed similar to Procol Harum and The Alan Parsons Project. Great music! Cheers. Fer

  • that's an incredible little song right there. thanks for posting it. I heard this band was similar to the moody blues and procol harum, two other bands I think very highly of, and so far Barclay James Harvest hasn't disappointed me either
